SUBMISSION ON THE FISCAL BUDGET FOR FY 2025/2026

We refer to the public notice released by the National Treasury on the 9th December 2024 requesting for submissions on the fiscal budget for FY 2025/26. In this regard, we have prepared a submission that highlights some of the prevailing domestic and sub-regional (East African)

Customs Management Act) taxation laws visa a vis the Medium-Term Revenue Strategy, 2023, and the National Tax Policy. The intent is to determine inconsistencies between the current tax laws and medium-term guiding blueprint; propose recommendations to alleviate the tax burden while enhancing revenue collection and justifications for amendments.
