Rethinking Social Accountability in Kenya

Social accountability is thought to contribute to better public service provision,
while also building a stronger sense of citizenship and promoting empowerment.
In Kenya, the use of social accountability approaches has grown in acceptance
over the past 20 years. Social accountability consists of an evolving umbrella of tools and approaches which aim to strengthen the social contract by bridging the gaps prevalent in representative democracy.
