POLICY BRIEF ON UNDERSTANDING THE BARRIERS ANDSOLUTIONS TO INCLUDE WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES INPUBLIC PROCUREMENT IN EAST AFRICA

This policy brief is based on a study commissioned by The Institute of Social Accountability (TISA) in partnership with Africa Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC) and Open Contacting Partnership (OCP) to improve the understanding of policies and practices that promote women-led businesses’ (WLBs) participation in public sector procurement in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda, as well as policies and practices that exclude WLBs from public procurement.
